Tennessee Spring Expedition
We know how hard it is for men to unplug and get away for days on end, which is why we have created a 3 day Spring Expedition. It’s a great chance to connect with other men and God in new ways. The weekend will be filled with a powerful blending of teaching sessions, film clips, and guided periods of reflection in the outdoors.
The Spring Expedition will be held at Eagle Rock Retreat Center in the beauty of the Smoky Mountains of Tennessee. It is a chance to get away in the outdoors, enjoy the adventures of paintball and hiking and yet it is only a three and a half hour drive from Atlanta. This Expedition is designed for men who have never been on an Expedition. It is also an opportunity for those who have joined us before to come again and refresh themselves with the message. If you want to bring a friend, this is a great way to include them in what you have experienced.
Limited Space
Space is limited to 30 men and will fill up quickly, so please register in advance to secure your spot.
A note about Covid-19:
Covid-19 that has disrupted the way all of have lived this past year (and that’s an understatement). As a result, we had to postpone all of our Expeditions in 2020. Although there are unknowns surrounding Covid-19, we are going to attempt to have all of our men’s Expeditions in 2021 with some specific safeguards in place to help prevent anyone from getting sick on the event.
If government mandates/guidlines prevent us from having the Expedition we will fully refund all participants. If the government implements a mandatory mask mandate we will cancel the event as we want masks to be optional and not mandatory (it’s really hard to do any kind of adventure or connect with other men wearing a mask).
The whole situation surrounding Covid-19 is fluid and we will do everything possible to ensure the safety of each participant. We will know more and will be able to communicate specifics to help ensure that safety in late March or early April. We are very hopeful of being able to host the Expedition on April 29-May 2.
Dates
April 29-May 2, 2021 (Thursday-Sunday)
Time of arrival and time of departure
Check in is from 4:30 p.m.-6:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 29th. You will need to leave Atlanta at 1:30 p.m. and no later than 2:00 p.m. to arrive on time for check in. The Expedition begins at dinner at 6:00 p.m. Dinner is from 6:00-7:00 and we will begin our first session directly after dinner, so please check in and locate your room prior to dinner. We will conclude on May 2nd at 12:00 p.m. Lunch on Sunday is not covered in the Expedition fee. In order to attend each man is required to attend the Expedition from beginning to end.
Transportation
The drive from Atlanta is approximately three and a half hours. We suggest teaming up with other men for the drive, or you can drive on your own. Once you arrive at the facility, we ask that you park your car and plan on leaving it parked for the entire Expedition.
Directions from Downtown Atlanta:
- Take I75 North out of Atlanta (towards Chattanooga, TN)
- Before you enter Chattanooga, stay Right onto I75 North (towards Knoxville, TN)
- Continue on I75 North until you near Sweetwater, TN (towards Knoxville, TN) (59 miles)
- Take Exit 60 and turn Right for TN-68 S until US-411N (on TN-68 S for 12 miles)
- Turn Left onto US-411 N until TN-72E (on US-411 for 10.5 miles)
- Turn Right onto TN-72E (on TN-72 E for 9 miles)
- Turn Right onto US-129 S (on US-129 S for 7.1 miles)
- Turn Left onto Foothills Pkwy W (on Foothills Pkwy W for 7.6 miles)
- Turn Right onto Look Rock Campground (390 ft)
- Turn Right onto Butterfly Gap Road (0.2 miles)
- Turn Right onto Flats Road (0.4 miles)
- Destination will be on the left through stone & metal gate

Weather
Spring weather around Tallassee, TN is beautiful. Most likely a light windbreaker, shorts, jeans, and jogging shoes are all you will need but we do suggest bringing some cold weather clothes in case the temperatures drop. Click here for the Tallassee, TN 10 day forecast.
